Bandon and the Oregon Coast

Craig McCord and Jane Palmer will together lead  this special  photography workshop focusing on one of the most beautiful parts of the Oregon Pacific coast.  This workshop will offer dramatic photographic opportunities of pacific sea stacks, lighthouses, coves, tide pools, and harbors for which the area is well know.  This area of Oregon's coast where we will explore and photograph together is of the most favored among those photographers in pursuit of majestic images.
The workshop is open to all levels of photographers but will be limited in size to ensure the highest quality personal instruction tailored to the experience level and needs of each individual workshop participant.  Instruction will focus on assuring all gain the most from the photographic experience and come away with not only some memorable images but with refined techniques and tips to help take your photographic skills to the next level. Discussions and in-field assistance will focus on dynamic composition techniques, how to work a scene, histograms and exposure, metering, making panoramas, long exposure techniques and more.

During down time there will be at least one image review and critique session, as well as some opportunity to gain assistance in the post process workflow in Light Room and Photoshop CC. The latter is geared toward introducing the less experienced to a more disciplined post capture workflow process.
We will begin with our arrival on April 2nd, basing out of the Bandon Inn overlooking Old Town Bandon.  We will conduct an intensive shooting schedule during the workshop focusing in part on the Wizard Hat, the Howling Dog, Face Rock, The Kittens, Elephant Rock, the Coquille River Lighthouse, the Bandon Marina and more.  On April 5th, we will travel north to relocate and spend our last night in Newport.  Along the way we will have an opportunity to photograph Haceta Head Lighthouse, Cape Perpetua Cook's Chasm and Thor's Well, and Strawberry Hill tide pools.  Our evening in Newport, we will shoot the Newport Marina and bridge during blue hour and more.  We will Lodge the evening of April 5th at the Newport Ramada Inn.  The workshop will officially end after the morning shoot on April 6th.
